A safe and healthy working environment is vital to allow human dignity defenders to thrive. Human dignity work comes with a certain risk level, depending on where you are. It is, therefore, important to take all necessary measures to protect the people and the resources we work with. In this section, you will find a list of resources, tips, and advice on how to create a safe work environment

• The Safety and Security in Human Rights Work by FreedomLab training will equip you with the knowledge and skills to protect yourself, your team, your information, and the people whose rights you are trying to uphold from external threats. The modules on safety and security include key concepts related to security culture, personal security, psychological well-being, and digital security. The digital security modules will enable you to secure your information while in transit (communication) while at rest (in storage) and will enable you to stay safe while surfing the internet.

• Open Briefing builds resistance and resilience among the people and communities challenging power. They provide consultancy, training and retained support to help nonprofits and  foundations meet their risk management, duty of care, and data  protection commitments to staff, grantees, and local partners.

• Introduction to the essential elements to staying safe in the digital sphere and ways you can protect yourself in as little as 5 minutes, in English. This video has been developed by the Lloyds Bank Foundation in the United Kingdom that partners with small and local charitable organizations, people, and communities working towards a more just and compassionate society, and in partnership with Lloyds Banking Group’s Chief Security Office. 

• Practical guide and advise how to implement cybersecurity in small organizations, in English, developed by the Lloyds Bank Foundation.

• The CyberPeace Institute is a Swiss-based organization that delivers free cybersecurity assistance to non-profit organizations around the world. With the Institute, you will be able to evaluate your cybersecurity maturity, find expert volunteers to fill identified security gaps, receive actionable security alerts, get access to free security tools and join a vibrant nonprofit cybersecurity community.

In 2019, the company has developed, NordPass, a proprietary password manager.  It allows its users to organize their passwords and secure notes by keeping them in a single encrypted vault, and its basic plan is for free.
