Going into exile is a particularly traumatic experience. Often unprepared, human dignity defenders, both in their personal capacity, but often as entire organization, see themselves forced to leave everything behind to start not only a new life in a country that is not always a country of their choice but also to go through organizational establishment processes to continue their work from abroad. Not much special support is yet available for those in exile, but we hope to be able to grow the below resources rapidly and in due time.

.. International Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR) has launched a new program to address the increasing persecution of critical voices by Russian law enforcement abroad. This program directly supports individuals targeted or at high risk of being targeted by Russian government agencies and/or their proxies due to their professional activities or civic position.
At Phoenix Initiative, we cannot guarantee the quality of all the resources we share. What is important for us is that you are aware of what exists, and where you can find the knowledge you might need. If you think something is not helpful, please let us know.
